Solihull Artists Forum presents Text and Texture

Solihull Artist’s Forum (SAF), a dynamic organisation of around forty professional artists and designers, who work to raise the profile of the arts in the Solihull area, will be bringing diversity and interest to Gallery150 this Spring, with the Text and Texture,’ exhibition.
The exhibition has been given this name because each work of art is inspired by the line from a poem, a phrase or saying.  The idea of words linking to art is not a new one, but is rarely seen used in such an eclectic and exciting way by so many artists all at once.
This richly diverse show, which will be held from  “26th April 2011 – 8th May 2011, will present a wide variety of works, including bright bold abstract work, subtle colours used to depict scenes from life, and a mix of sculpture, ceramics, textiles and glass objects.
A member of Solihull Artists Forum states: “We are delighted to be showing our new work in the
exciting setting of Gallery150.  It is the ideal venue to display our eclectic mix of art and a lovely place for people to visit.  There really will be something for everyone who has an interest in the visual arts.”

It is hoped that this exhibition, which will be showcasing the works of over twenty SAF members, will draw in visitors from all over Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
